IBM looks back on 100 years of history... it only seems like yesterday with life with punch cards and fortran...

Hard to believe IBM is a century old then again.... then again at 122 years old Nintendo it the century mark awhile ago.... On September the 23rd, 1889, Fusajiro Yamauchi founded Nintendo in Kyoto, Japan. It was founded to produce playing cards called hanafuda ...

But then again, did you realize that Nokia was founded in 1865, incorporated 1871. That makes Nokia 146 years old.... the same year as our civil war...

interesting article on quantum entanglement

"Entanglement in time could also be used to investigate as-yet-untested fundamentals of particle physics. In the 1970s, physicist Bill Unruh predicted that, if a spaceship accelerates through the empty space of a vacuum, particles should appear to pop out of the void. Particles carry energy, so they would be, in effect, a warm bath. Wave a thermometer outside, and it would record a positive temperature."
