“Following on from the best first quarter in the company’s history, we have just reported our most successful April sales ever,” said Ian Robertson, head of BMW sales and marketing. “We are well on course to achieving a record year in 2012.”
In addition to setting a new company record, April was also significant for BMW as it signaled a changing of the guard. With 27,197 deliveries China became BMW’s largest single market in the world. With more BMWs sold in China than the US or Germany.
