My diverse technical and entrepreneurial background combined with my experience working for Orange/France Telecom, one of the world’s largest wireless telecoms and online/mobile entertainment company in Europe, is enhanced with a background in fine-arts and design stephen-sherman.blogspot.com
As Principle Innovation Researcher at Orange/France Telecom, I was responsible for new global consumer product creation for more than 200 million subscribers in over 30 countries. This role gave me the opportunity to be entrepreneurial (setting business strategies, forming and managing global teams, formalizing funding requests and executing the delivery of new services to our diverse customer base worldwide). I developed an in-depth understanding of product development, using wire-frames, user journeys and rapid Agile project management methodology to create visionary new mobile services. My team was one of the first to effectively monetize data driven services for mobile, including music, video and integrated services with community and location.
Prior to Orange, I founded Digital Music Networks, a company that was at the forefront of social networking. The company developed technology that utilizes collaborative filtering and advanced data-mining techniques to provide personalized recommendations, profile matching and targeted contextual ads for an online music service.
I am currently the founder of 98BlueSky a strategic consulting company specializing in seamless mobile experiences and product/project management. My deep understanding of mobile, broadcast and web technologies, combined with my knowledge of consumer trends, gives me the unique ability to be at the forefront of the converging digital world. My recent focus has been on location-based services, social networks, push/pull services, local search, social recommendations and next generation of contextual advertising.
